Re: Arsenic and Old Lace to open early November
Dt: 24 October 2004
Arsenic and Old Lace is set to open at Wyong Memorial Hall on Thursday 4
November. To most people, mentioning Arsenic and Old Lace drums up memories of
the movie with Cary Grant, and the two charming Aunts he lives with in Brooklyn.
It also brings back memories of a brother labouring under the misapprehension he
is President Roosevelt, and another brother who bears an incredible resemblance
to Boris Karloff.
Wyong Drama Group has all this and more in store for its audiences. Director
is Millie Sampson, directing her second show for Wyong, following on from last
year’s Farndale Avenue Murder Mystery. There is a large cast for the show with
ten men (playing eleven roles) and five women (playing three roles). If that has
confused you, you’d better come and see the show, where all will become
immediately obvious.
As always with Wyong Drama Group, the play will be held at Wyong Memorial
Hall, in Anzac Avenue Wyong. We offer excellent value for money by giving an
all-up price, and we don’t charge extra for programmes or tea and coffee at
interval. We are also doing an extra Sunday matinee, at 2pm on the first week.
Bookings can be made by phoning the WDG bookings line on XXXX-XXXX.
