Re: Wyong Drama Group’s Next Production The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate
Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery
Dt: 9 October 2003
Wyong Drama Group’s November production, The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate
Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery (known as The Farndale Murder
Mystery for short) looks set to be one of the group’s funniest shows for a long
time.
The play is a play about a play where everything that can go wrong does so.
Anyone who has seen previous amateur theatre productions knows what can go
wrong. This play condenses as many mishaps a long-term theatre attendee will
ever have seen within the one play, for maximum comic effect. As WDG audiences
know, there’s nothing like an hilarious farce to make you feel better and live
longer. You owe it to yourself to get along and see this play.
For audience members who may normally do other things on the weekend (maybe
our sports-people or hobbyists) WDG is presenting a special twilight
performance, on Sunday 9th November at 5pm. WDG does not normally perform on a
Sunday. The 5pm performance time means that you can see the play, and be home
before sunset, or maybe catch a meal after the show on the way home, and still
be home at a reasonable time. It will be interesting to see how audiences like
this new time, and whether WDG can do twilight productions in the future.
The play is to be presented at Wyong Memorial Hall, in Anzac Avenue, opposite
Wyong RSL. The performance dates and prices are given below. Whilst we encourage
our audiences to book, (this will normally mean you are seated closer to the
stage) there are always plenty of good seats left for sale at the door. We
provide free programmes, free tea/coffee at interval and complimentary light
refreshments on Friday and Saturday nights. BYO alcohol welcome.
For all bookings, please call Wyong Drama Group on XXXX-XXXX.
