Wyong Drama Group is to present its annual Bush Bash on Saturday 26 June. In
the winter of the seventeenth Bush Bash, we have decided on a Beach Theme for
the event this year. We return to the customary Dinner- Show- Dance format, with
full catering, a One-act play and members of Outback providing the music.
Members of the Newcastle based band Outback, will be returning for what must
be their eighth or ninth time at Wyong. This is a testimony to the band's
popularity. They really put on a great show, and regular visitors have grown to
know and love their repertoire. As usual, we expect a lively rendition of Cows
with Guns, along with all the normal fare.
The play will be Day Trippers by Jean McConnell to be directed by Millie
Sampson. The play is a two-hander with Denise Pastor and Pam Campbell in the
leads. It has been selected from Wyong's entries in the upcoming Theatre
Festival of One Act plays in August. The play will also be competing for honours
in the Festival, so you can be assured the Bush Bash play will be of competitive
standard!
