Attention English & Drama Teachers:
Cosi, the award-winning Australian play by Louis Nowra is being presented by Wyong Drama Group in April 2010. Directed by Ruth Crawley (St Peter’s Catholic College Drama Teacher) it was specifically chosen for its relevance to the 2010 HSC English Syllabus. As a teacher with more than 20 years experience, she knows the value of seeing a play in action. Give your students the opportunity to develop a broader understanding of the play and the distinct advantage of experiencing a live performance of their HSC text. Join Lewis, a university graduate, as he discovers meaning in a world full of madness. Lewis finds himself responsible for directing a play as occupational therapy for the patients in a Melbourne mental institution. It’s the 1970’s and the world outside is protesting against the Vietnam war whilst sex, drugs & rock ‘n’ roll abound. Within the confines of the asylum and through his interactions with an array of quirky characters, Lewis learns that, just like beauty, madness is in the eye of the beholder and that things are not always as they seem. Bring your students on a night of “Madness, Morality, Mozart and Mayhem” with an all-star Central Coast cast. You’d be mad to miss it !Special discount rates for student groups – accompanying teachers free*
