Don't Dress for Dinner by Marc Camoletti
Don't Dress for Dinner was performed in April 1998 and directed by Bonnie Bryant. When the play opens, Bernard is anxiously encouraging his wife Jacqueline in her decision to spend the weekend with her mother. Meanwhile, Bernard has planned to entertain his mistress Suzy at his home for her birthday. He also invited best friend Robert as an alibi. What Bernard doesn't know is that his wife Jacqueline and Robert are secret lovers! Bernard has engaged a cordon bleu cook, also called Suzy to provide gourmet delights for the evening. What could go wrong? How about the cook being mistaken for the mistress and the mistress who can't cook, being mistaken for the cook? Sound like a relatively familiar plot for a farce?
