Joining the Club by David Tristram

Bonnie Bryant directed a one act play called Joining the Club which was a two-hander with Bernie O'Brien and Ruth Jordon. The play was produced both for the Bush Bash in June 1999 and later in August, it was also taken to the Stage West Festival of One-Act Plays at the Gulgong Prince of Wales Opera House, where it was performed at 8:10pm on Saturday 14 August.

The play features a married couple (this was not too difficult for Bernie and Ruth as they are a married couple) newly expecting a child.  Despite the husband's disdain for a new family member and all the torturous machinations they will need to go through with, they both eventually warm to the idea.

At Gulgong the play won Best Comedy - Runner Up.  See the next web page for more photos of the Gulgong Festival.
