Macbeth by William Shakespeare
Since I'm not currently in a theatre, I am allowed to say "Macbeth". However, if you were, no doubt you would be referring to it as "The Scottish Play". I won't write a synopsis for it here, as I think there has already been enough written. In fact if you search the net you can easily download an entire script. For Wyong Drama Group, this was a b-i-g production, the brain-child of Adrian Adam. He directed the play and also played the not-so-insubstantial role of MacDuff (who kills Macbeth in retribution for Macbeth's murdering of King Duncan - woops, no synopsis, I said). It had a cast of about two dozen, all eagerly coming from up and down the Coast to audition for the play. It was performed on August 18, 19 & 20 and 25, 26 & 27 at 8pm. There was a Sunday Matinee on August 21 and another on Saturday 27 August both at 2pm. Macbeth Programme (pdf file, 570,808 bytes) Hit No
