The Zoo Story by Edward Albee

This was a two-hander taken to the 1991 Tamworth Drama Festival and presented at 9am on 8 June 1991.  It was directed by Bonnie Bryant and featured Adrian Adam and Laszlo Weidlich.  Adrian won the Best Actor award.  The play was also taken to the Great Lakes Amateur Drama Festival on Saturday 3 August (7:30pm session), and Adrian was again presented with the Best Actor award.

An isolated park bench in Central Park provides the setting for a prickly confrontation of differing life views.  Jerry (Adrian Adam), the hermit, articulates loss and abandonment and has his uncomfortable perspectives, challenges Peter (Laszlo Weidlich) and his mundane middle-class attitudes, finally needling him into an exasperated reaction.
