When Helen discovers she is unable to have children, her career-driven sister Claudia offers to be the surrogate mother in an act of supreme generosity.

 

A "bittersweet play about motherhood”, Birthrights, tackles thought-provoking issues including: IVF; biological parentage; politics; sibling, post-divorce and in-law relationships; intellectual property; and moral dilemmas.

The same five nuns are back on stage at Mt. Saint Helen’s School for a “Thank You Program” for their supporters. Things get to off to a rousing start , but before long, chaos erupts.

This Aussie everyman tale follows the fortunes of Bill, the bloke in the backstreet gangs of Melbourne's Little Lonsdale Street, swigging beer, playing two-up, and stoushing John's (police).

 

Life changes when he meets his little peach, Doreen, but faces competition from a more sophisticated rival in the straw 'at coot.
